Kamnik Ten Barrels Syrah

Dry red wine - Powerful & Rich - Elegant - Complex

This dry red wine is made from Syrah grapes grown in the vineyards surrounding the Kamnik winery. Its unique character comes from double crop reduction, a method that partially dries the grapes on the vine and leads to phenolic ripeness. The wine has an intense ruby red colour, high extract and considerable ageing potential. The bouquet is rich in blackberry, blackcurrant and Java plum, enhanced by co-vinification with 8% Vranec grapes. Its complexity is further developed by 20 months of ageing in new American and French oak barrels, lending subtle spicy notes of mocha coffee, vanilla, liquorice and dark chocolate. The palate is elegant and full, with excellent structure, soft, velvety tannins and perfectly integrated oak, ending in a long finish. This wine has the potential to age in the bottle for several years.
