Premium dry red wine - Full & Round - Spicy - Complex

The Winemakers’ Selection from the Kamnik winery is aromatically complex, fruity and spicy in character, with hints of sour cherry that gradually give way to notes of vanilla. The palate is full, with silky tannins, a pleasing structure and a long finish.

Vineyards: The vineyard for this variety is planted at a density of 5,500 vines per hectare, trained on spur cordon and Guyot systems. Thanks to their position, the vineyards enjoy perfect exposure to sunlight. The excellent soil and microclimate make them a regional benchmark for producing world-class wines.

Cultivation & Harvest: All key stages of cultivation - pruning, leaf stripping and cluster thinning - are done by hand. Harvesting is also done by hand, at different moments and times for each section and each grape variety, to ensure the grapes reach the cellar at optimal ripeness.

Vinification: Vinification takes place in special oak vats using a pneumatic punch-down tool, achieving exceptional colour extraction with extremely mild, fine tannins while preserving every aromatic component.

Winemaking: Dry red wine, estate-bottled from a blend of carefully selected grapes of noble varieties: Vranec 40%, Merlot 40%, Carménère 20%. Deep ruby red with a bright glow and slight transparency. The barcode on the label is a copy of the barcode from the very first wine Kamnik ever made.

Ageing: What makes this wine unique is its fermentation in an oak vat followed by 10 months of ageing in new and used French oak barrels of 225 litres. Decanting before serving is recommended.

Origin: Vardar River Valley Region

Grape varieties: Vranec 40%, Merlot 40%, Carménère 20%

Serving temperature: 12-15°С

Alcohol: 15% Vol.

Pairs well with: Selected cheeses, cured sausage, cured hams, spicy Asian cuisine and Macedonian meat specialities.
